Springwood & Co. is an established gardening company based in York, we work on gardens of all shapes and sizes within the surrounding area. We believe that gardens are an extension of our homes and they should be created and maintained to be both beautiful spaces to live within and functional to you and your families needs. We offer a comprehensive range of services covering all aspects of your including garden design, installation and maintenance which means that we can help with almost anything you need to manage and improve your outdoor space.

Meet the founder

Hi I'm Brian, the founder of Springwood & Co.

I have always had a passion for gardening and nature, it’s something that I’ve enjoyed for as long as I can remember. The more I learnt about gardening the more I was hooked, it started as a hobby but quickly grew into a profession.

I went on to study professional garden design at the National Design Academy, where I graduated with distinction in 2022. Before this, I worked for many years in the construction industry where I gained a wealth of knowledge in materials, construction methods and project management. This experience has been invaluable in my path to becoming a gardener and garden designer.

Upon completion of my studies Springwood & Co. was created, and we have been designing, building and maintaining beautiful gardens ever since.

  • We are based in York and provide garden maintenance services to a number of clients within the city the and surrounding villages. For larger contracts we are able to travel further afield and this can be priced on application.

    Our garden design and installation services are available across the north of England.

  • We offer both one off visits and also regular maintenance work. So if you're looking for a one off hedge cut, some weeding or maybe a garden tidy, we are happy to help.

  • We will always aim to utilise compost heaps and garden waste bins wherever possible, but when necessary we are able to remove garden waste. We are registered waste carriers, so you can be assured that we dispose of your waste safely and correctly.

  • As long as there is access to the property then you do not need to be home when we visit. None of our equipment requires mains power as we run on petrol and battery motors.

  • Yes, we operate all year round including through the winter. Our lawn care generally runs from March to November, and we offer garden maintenance all year round.

    Our design and installation services are also available any time throughout the year.
